Yesterday I had waved goodbye to Ryan as he sat on the bus. This has been the routine since day one of kindergarten. Normally he would wave back excitedly with a big grin on his face. Not this day. In response to my wave, I received a frowned face accompanied by a 'no' head shake.
At the bus stop today, Ryan reminded me not to wave. "Don't wave to me anymore. It's a Kindergarten thing and I let you do it for most of first grade. Now it's embarrassing."
Rats.
Check off another thing that I enjoy but is no longer accepted. At least we are sort of still cool on snuggling in the morning. When that ends, it will be devastating.
