2009 Reflection2009 was a fun year for our family. There were many positives: Laura Lynn being born, cousin Andrew being born, friend Evan receives encouraging news on rare cancer, Mom becomes tenured at PL, the MN Twins go on 21-4 run to tie the Detroit Tigers and then beat them in a one-game playoff to win the Central Division title, last year of indoor baseball, Joe Mauer wins AL MVP, Dad retires from creating high school sports programs - maybe.
2009 also brought negative news: Great Grandpa LeRoy passes away, a number of family and friends battling illnesses, Grandpa George sells his boat, H1N1 (swine flu) scare across the world, Michael Jackson passes away, stock market/unemployment/economy takes a major dive.
2009 brought some interesting news: Long-time GB Packer, Brett Favre joins the Vikings, first African American (Barack Obama) is sworn into office as President of the United States, Tiger Woods and David Letterman relationship scandals, Mom and Dad are thinking about looking for a new house, unseasonably cool summer in MN.
