Hard to believe that we are the parents of a four year old. Laura got to celebrate her birthday party on her actual birthday this year, and of course there was only one kind of party we were having: a princess party. More details about the party in the next post.
On Laura's birthday, she woke up to a curtain of crepe paper streamers hanging from her doorway courtesy of her daddy, and got to head off to one of her favorite activities, gymnastics class! She has been attending now for about a month and it is super fun to watch her learn. After gymnastics she made a doughnut stop with dad and then came home to open some gifts from mom, dad, and Ryan (magnetic calendar, Cinderella dress, and princess birthday book). Despite all her excitement, she took a nap and was ready for the party afterward!
Height:
Weight: 29 lbs., so close to 30 Laura!
Likes: Disney princesses (movies, YouTube, books, dress up, stickers, coloring books, songs). We have a princess songs cd for the car and Laura can sing pretty much any of the lyrics AND knows the track number of each song. She also likes The Lion King right now. Playing with "treasures" in her room (jewelry, tiny toys, hair clips, etc.), selecting books from the library, gymnastics class, leggings, pink and purple clothing, dresses, making pictures or artwork for people, running around/doing gymnastics in the basement, helping with Ryan, candy, ham and salami for lunch, apples, hearing "Laura stories" (mom paraphrasing Laura Ingalls Wilder stories that go with the illustrations she finds in the books), asking questions
.
Dislikes: Any pants with loose openings around the ankles, also known as "wobbly pants." Any day when mom pulls out wobbly pants is a given wardrobe fight and tears. Other outfits that are "not pretty." Qualifications for what makes an outfit pretty/not pretty changes on any given day. Having tangles brushed out of her hair, being spoken to sternly, being put on the spot to sing/perform/be photographed, doing things if she can't do them "right" - games, writing letters.

OK none of these are showing up in my RSS reader anymore! I was like, why have they not updated?!
Anyway, LOL at 'wobbly pants'! Also love the "Laura stories" - way too cute.
Yay for 4!
Such a fun birthday post! Where/when was the middle picture taken? It is adorable and she looks SO grown up. Love it. She is a very special little girl - and growing up so fast.
