10 Year Anniversary...

Ok, the title is a little misleading. This isn't our 10-year wedding anniversary, it's our first date anniversary. Who remembers this kind of anniversary date? Well, Mom, of course! But let's not dwell on who remembered what. Let's dwell on who picked the event...Da Da Daddy-o!

Afton Cruise Lines' Fall Colors Tour
Mom and I went on a "Fall Colors" boat tour on the St. Croix to celebrate our 10-year anniversary of our first date. If you are keeping track at home, our first date was an evening watching My Big Fat Greek Wedding at the Lagoon Theater in Uptown followed by dinner/drinks at Old Chicago.

Back to the present...Mom wasn't fully "on board" with my choice of activity. She thought it was a little too old for our age group. Meaning, boat rides are for old people. Hey, I like boats and I like Mom. That is a perfect day...for me at least :)! Now only if there was a way I could throw a lure off the side?

Anyways, I really enjoyed the date with Mom and I think she did too. Just wished that the leaves were a little closer to peaking. That would have been super cool. Nevertheless, we couldn't have asked for a better day...100% sun, 80 degrees and celebrating [what was] the genesis of our life-long journey together.

A Princess Boat! Are you kidding? Laura would love to be on this!

Leaves haven't quite turned...but no complaints!
