Tea Parties and Princess Shows with Laura

I am a Dad with a 3.5 year old daughter. My day is bombarded by princess: conversations, riddles, clothes/jammies, movies, reenactments, dances, etc. As much as I love my daughter, I am a little worn out by all the drama-ridden princess-things.

While Mom was out'n about Saturday morning, I may have mentioned to Laura that we should take a break from princess things. Not happy at all by my suggestion, she replied, "Why don't you like princesses?" I said, "I do, but maybe let's play something different today."

I watched her as she thought and suddenly with a huge smile, "Hey Dad, I have a great idea! Let's play tea party!"

Look! I wasn't the only one invited.

Every tea party requires a yummy snack.

Everyone gets one cracker and one tea cup.

Is this how princesses really eat?
